About us and these terms

Pablo & Poppy is a small family business in the United Kingdom, run by a sole trader. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Pablo & Poppy.

Pablo & Poppy is run by Christopher Knee, a sole trader, at 7 Lewis Lewis Avenue, Blackwood, NP12 1JG, United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@pabloandpoppy.co.uk.

These terms apply when you buy or use the Pablo & Poppy digital reward chart (the "adventure"), on our website or through a code. Please read them, together with our privacy policy and refund policy, before you buy.

What you get

  • A digital reward chart that runs in your web browser and can be added to your home screen. It is digital content: nothing is posted to you.
  • One family account, with room for up to eight children, each with their own explorer, trail, missions and rewards.
  • Access for your household, for as long as we run Pablo & Poppy, for a single one-off payment. There is no subscription.
  • Free updates to the adventure we sell you. We may also offer extra paid items later, such as printed packs; buying those is always up to you.

You need a reasonably up-to-date phone, tablet or computer and a web browser such as Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox. You need the internet to buy, sign in and receive updates; the chart itself keeps working offline once it has opened.

Buying the adventure

  • You must be 18 or over to buy. On our website we currently sell only to customers in the United Kingdom with a UK billing address.
  • Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added.
  • The usual price is £10. During our launch offer it is £5. The launch offer ends on the date shown on our website, after which the price is £10. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
  • Payments are taken by Stripe on its secure checkout page, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal.
  • Our contract with you starts when your payment is confirmed. We then unlock the adventure and email you a confirmation, and Stripe emails you a receipt.
  • If there's an obvious mistake in a price on our site, we'll tell you and you can choose whether to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Starting straight away, and refunds

Because the adventure is digital content that unlocks as soon as you pay, you'll be asked at checkout to agree that it starts straight away and that, once it has, the legal 14-day right to change your mind no longer applies. We still offer a friendly money-back promise: see our refund policy.

Gifts, activation codes and promo codes

  • An activation code unlocks the adventure for one family account. Codes come with purchases on Etsy or eBay, as gifts, or from us, for example for families helping us test.
  • Each code can be used once. It has no cash value, can't be exchanged for money and must not be sold on.
  • Codes don't expire unless we tell you an end date when we give you the code.
  • If you bought a gift code and it hasn't been used, we can refund it under our refund policy. Once used, it belongs to the family who used it.
  • Promo or discount codes may have their own conditions, such as an end date, which we'll show with the code. They can't be added to a purchase after it is made.
  • We may cancel codes that were obtained or used dishonestly.

Your account

  • Your account is linked to the email address you paid with or signed in with. Please keep that email account secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in.
  • Grown-ups in your household may share the account. Please don't share it with other families.
  • Choose a grown-up PIN your child won't guess. The PIN keeps the chart fair; it isn't a security measure for your data.
  • You can close your account at any time by emailing us. Closing it doesn't by itself entitle you to a refund outside our refund policy.

Using Pablo & Poppy with your child

Pablo & Poppy is a fun way to encourage everyday habits. You decide the missions, points and rewards, and you're responsible for choosing ones that suit your child and keep them safe. It is not medical, psychological or parenting advice. If you're worried about your child's behaviour, development or wellbeing, please speak to your GP or health visitor.

Please only enter your child's first name or a nickname. Don't enter surnames, addresses or other details about your child.

Fair use

The adventure, including Pablo, Poppy, the explorers, trails, stories, artwork and words, belongs to us. You may use it for your own family's personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, resell, share outside your household or try to break into the app or our systems. We may suspend an account that is used in these ways, and we'll tell you why.

If something goes wrong

The adventure must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires. If it isn't, tell us at hello@pabloandpoppy.co.uk. We'll fix it or replace it, and if we can't do that within a reasonable time, you're entitled to some or all of your money back. If faulty digital content we supplied damages your device or other digital content, and that happened because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll repair the damage or pay you compensation.

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses, as the adventure is for household use. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Changes, and if we ever close

  • We'll keep improving the adventure. We won't make changes that take away the main features you paid for without your agreement.
  • We may update the app to fix problems, keep it secure or follow the law. Sometimes the site may be briefly unavailable for maintenance.
  • If we ever have to stop running Pablo & Poppy, we'll give account holders at least three months' notice by email and a way to keep a copy of their charts. If that happens within 12 months of your purchase, we'll refund what you paid.
  • We may update these terms, for example when we add new features. The terms you agreed to when you bought still apply to your purchase unless the change is needed by law or is to your benefit.

Buying on Etsy or eBay

If you buy through Etsy or eBay, that marketplace's own rules for the purchase and refunds apply too. You'll get an activation code, and once you've used it these terms apply to your use of the adventure.

Complaints and the law

If you're unhappy, please email hello@pabloandpoppy.co.uk and we'll do our best to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring them in your local courts.
